Colonel (retired) Parakrama Dissanayake USP psc has 23 years of military service in the Sri Lanka Army. He commanded the Corps of Military Intelligence (MIC) and was a specialist in intelligence and investigations. He was also the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA), accredited to the University of Sabaragamuwa, Sri Lanka. He has also had exposure to stores management.

He has been trained abroad in all disciplines mentioned. He is a graduate of the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, Hawaii, USA and Defence Services Command and Staff College, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He is providing total corporate risk management solutions. In the field of commercial and corporate security, he has experience in conducting investigations, surveys, consultations and training. He has specialised knowledge in Customs and Trade Partnerships against Terrorism (CTPAT) standards and compliance for exports to the USA. He works as a consultant and trainer on Disaster Management and Business Continuity Planning too. He maintains business, working and professional relationships with counterparts in India, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong.

Currently, he is the President of the Sri Lanka Security Providers Association (SLASSPA).
